MAESTRO POGORELICH ON THE EUROPEAN STAGES IN MAY & JUNE
— 20 May 2021
During May and June, Maestro Ivo Pogorelich will give a series of concerts on the stages of Italy, Spain, Belgium and Poland. The programme will include Three Mazurkas Op. 59 which he previously performed at Chopin Competition back in 1980, as well as the grandiose Piano Sonata No. 3, Op. 58 – one of the amblematic works of his piano repertoire, which he recorded for Deutsche Grammophon’s 1987 video album. In addition to these works, for the first time Maestro Pogorelich will play Chopin’s late mesterpieces – Berceuse op. 57, Fantaisie Op. 49, as well as Polonaise-Fantaisie, Op. 61.
